“Good design has the ability to impact the way you feel, and we want all of our clients to feel that sense of peace when they walk through the door.”
-JASON BRINKER
DESIGN
During our first meeting, we will discuss in great detail your project, personal style, wishes and budget. Firstly, we will produce a design proposal for the design services required to communicate (the design) and document (the construction) of your project. Upon approvals, our team will advance the design phase where comprehensive mood boards, floor plans, rendered drawings and finish selections are presented to help you visualize your project. As we move through the design phases, we will regularly discuss costs and budgets to ensure that both the design and construction means are developing in a realistic manner.
DEVELOP
Once a design has been approved, we begin the process of coordinating all of the approved layouts and finish selections to create a clear and comprehensive set of documents for your project to be priced and built. Subcontractors, vendors and manufacturers are brought into the fold to confirm installation, schedule and cost. With open communication and transparency, the client’s involvement is vital to the decision-making process and integrity of the design. Prior to the commencement of construction, a meeting will occur where everyone has a clear understanding of the project’s design, schedule and cost.
BUILD
Once the design, schedule and cost have been reviewed and approved, construction will begin and this is the most exciting phase where all the dreaming and planning becomes reality. By combining the role of designer and builder, Urbane Design + Build is able to gain a level of intimacy with each of our projects. This intimacy allows us to be more responsive during the building process. When unforeseen factors or problems arise during construction, we are able to come up with a solution on site that maintain the original design integrity. Working in someone’s home is a privilege and we don’t take it lightly, great care is taken to try and minimize the overall disruption throughout the entire construction phase.
